I like how Week 5 was one of the least important weeks in the original game but in Soft it's absolutely amazing and pivotal to the plot.

Just realized that the breath at 0:22 isn't just there to be creepy, it's a hint that Father Fairest would regularly blow smoke in BF's face. Probably as an intimidation tactic. So BF immediately starting to sing after that? Yet another sign that he's DONE, the monster doesn't scare him anymore and neither do his parents.

Can't remember the last time I felt this proud over a fictional character.

The way he finally smiles as the demon fades shows the pain he's been through is finally gone.

When I played this song in the mod, I had no idea the scream was coming. But when it did, it sent absolute CHILLS down my entire body. This mod is amazing in every regard, I love it.

Week 5 in this mod as a whole is incredibly cathartic since BF finally fully breaks free from the control of his parents and outs them as the shitty people they are in front of everybody. Then this masterpiece is just the cherry on top since BF finally conquers the demon that has been haunting him for god knows how long. His voice in this song sounds confident and the scream is oh so telling that he is the one in control now.

As someone that can relate to that abuse from my parents (Verbal abuse, not physical (Yet, hopefully never)) and the fact I have a boyfriend I plan on moving with and that helps me get through the days just makes me relate even more to this mod. And that scream. Oh my god. It made me almost emotional after the Chills it gave me

Lord almighty, _this_ was the crowning turning point.

I mean, look. In song one, it all started off normal. A crowd gathered for the Fairests as they caroled through the holidays.

Then song two occurs and the parents immediately lash out. Our hero LOOKS as if he was going to be tormented yet again...

_Not this time._ He straight up gets *PISSED, * not willing to put up with any more of it. The crowd looking shocked and offended when he called them out may have been the kicker as they just _now_ realize how bad the Fairest family was to their child.

And song three, which is _this, _ has the illusion from back at the mansion seen once more. Again, our hero isn't frightened... he's straight up *PISSED.* Not to mention in this and song two he sings at _full force._ He's gathered enough willpower to counter *the very nightmare born from his cruel parents.*

And don't even get me started on the climax. The monster struggled _hard_ to try and cause him more pain, and at that moment he just went all-out in hopes of devastating him once more. That deadly musk of smoke was his last resort, and it outright _backfires_ with the *_most powerful god damn yell mankind has ever heard._*

Now the Fairests had better watch themselves, 'cause this boy ain't playing games *_no more._*

the staticky effects when Soft screams?? it feels so realistic cause even if he's not using a mic there's GOTTA be some sort of feedback from that. i dont know if it was intentional or the effects of how you obtained the audio, but MY GOODNESS

0:00 - 0:22 literal chills, feels like you're facing your greatest fears to finally rid of them.
0:24 -1:30 You're finally fighting what keeps you from ever being confident.
1:30 - 1:33 you finally snap.
1:34 - 1:59 You finally start dominating and are getting rid of them.
2:00 - 2:22 You slowly watch your greatest fear start to fade with the haunting choir, finally releasing you from your chains.

this song has such fnf corruption vibes and it just feels so sinister and yet it feels like bf is breaking free from his conscious fear of his parents at last

Now that I've heard the song a few (hundred) times, I noticed something...
For a good portion of the song, instead of the opponent singing and then BF repeating it, it's actually BF singing something and the opponent repeats him.
Really shows that he's in control now.

That scream Soft BF does back to the Monster roaring at him...just oozes both him screaming in pure agony and frustration from all he’s had to go through, and that feeling of “I’M NOT TAKING YOUR BULLSHIT ANYMORE!!!” since he’s finally stopped being silent about what his parents have been doing to him.

I gotta say, I love the contrast between this track and Repressed, especially since in this track Soft BF sings the first note which parallels him standing up to his parents

I love this mod, it has such a beautiful story. Not every game, let alone *mod* makes me cry _this_ hard, but this did. Great work, I loved it so much!
