The Last of Us Theme – Cello + Flamenco Guitar w/ David Jay
Показать описание
Flamenco guitar + cello cover of the main theme from The Last of Us, with @DavidJayTheSpaniard. Shot in Edmonton, Canada where the HBO show was filmed!
Up here in Alberta, it seems everyone has been especially hyped about The Last of Us. From hearing that the production was taking over parts of our home towns during filming, to seeing familiar sites in the trailer and now the show, it’s been so fun to follow along! Of course it probably also helps that the show has been absolutely phenomenal so far.
I knew I had to get my good friend David Jay on board for this, given the soundtrack’s signature use of guitar by Gustavo Santaolalla. David is a huge fan of the games, a generous collaborator, and the most incredible classical guitarist I know. So thankful to David for bringing a flamenco flair and vibrant energy to this project!
I also knew we couldn’t miss the opportunity to showcase something recognizable from the show. Huge thanks to The Butternut Tree restaurant for letting us film in their gorgeous space with this amazing view of the Alberta Legislature building, the actual filming location for the ending of episode 2.
