Great review and I appreciate the honesty. I have a couple of their 360 cameras and love them, and wanted an action/vlogging camera to take on my shoots. It sounds like I will wait for the next version and HOPEFULLY they will see the outcry about the focal length and fix that. Other than that it sounds like this model would be perfect for what I need.

This Ace Pro camera made me frustrated. I recorded videos but some of it never saved or not able to save. Is there a way to recover those video?

This camera is my favourite... The clarity feature helped to shoot great PICS from a distance in a REAL forest situation. The bonfire video has come out great because of PUREVIDEO feature. I just love this camera. Regarding the focus issue.. ive already got a diopter (lens) from vivitar. Ive a gopro as well but kept it aside in case of an emergency like situation. I love this camera and it deserves to be loved IMHO.

Dude, it's a sport camera. Good sport camera. There are hundreds of other devices for narcissistic shots of a beautiful face.

Hi! I'm considering using this camera for creating cinematic travel videos with some basic color grading. My focus will be on capturing landscapes and cityscapes, not on vlogging or taking selfie-style videos. I don't plan to speak to the camera. Given my specific needs, do you think this camera would be a more practical choice, or is the Osmo Pocket 3 worth the extra cost?

I definitely fell in love with the Insta360 Ace Pro. Of course I'll use it while riding my EUC, but also when I'm vlogging at 50cm, taking advantage of the blur to hide my blemishes. But most of all I will use it in the evening in Rome during walks with my wife and friends, because in low light conditions this cam is superb!

Thats not a bug. Its a feature. Image looks very nice softened at the 30 cm shots. At least here on YT these shots look pretty good and sharp enough in my eyes. For me not a deal breaker.

thank you! Ive seen dozens of videos, but I guess most people use selfie sticks to compare, so therefore focus issue was never mentioned. Don't mind clowns in the comments

I have been disappointed by gopro cameras in recent years, I haven't even tried the latest versions. I've been using Insta x3 for some time and it's quite ok, I might try Ace Pro too, thanks

I didn't see much difference in the examples with the straight arm vs. the bent arm while doing selfies. Also, while on the tape measure, the phone looked like it was in focus the whole time.... so was that shot with the Ace Pro? The image streamed to the phone may not have been clear, but the phone was in focus.

i don't have that issue 40cm is perfect for me down scale the sharpness to average that's how I do it and the ace pro works well the downside is storage on my phone and my laptop doesn't hold up to good with the insta360 studio all and all the ace pro is the best action camera that i ever had and the manual settings for photos works well enough I work in 1920x1080 by 30fp/60fp and the pure video mode works great for me ps work with the sweetspot of the lens
my only problem is phone storage and laptop storage and I don't need 2, 7k 4k 6k 8k the files get too big to work with for me form all the action cams I had this is the best your camera needs are just different
I do e bike rides metal detecting and review gear and it works just fine for me especially since I started over with my channel and use the ace pro only for it for my needs just fine

Dji osmo action 5 does the job better for me in all practicality. Yes, but then I seldom use the automated feature.

According to the internet Minimum Focus Distance of Ace is 1.9ft (0.6m) and Ace pro is 1.3ft (0.4m)
