A casual creative here 👋🏼 here is my point of view. What made me buy my first action-oriented camera last year (insta360 x3) was the promise of user-friendly software/app. I always wanted a GoPro but never pulled a trigger on it because I knew that no matter how much footage I made, it would likely never see the light of day and remain on the memory card forever.

I was immediately sold when I saw the Insta360 commercial showing the simplified editing and publishing process. Bought the camera the same day. And used it so many times during my ski trips. I genuinely have a lot of fun playing with it, its simplicity enables my creativity.

Now, during my research to learn the camera ins and outs, I discovered that the majority of YouTube gear reviewers spend most of their time arguing about the shortcomings of the hardware. The “specs crowd” almost never rates the device on the “fun to use” factor. And for a general consumer, that’s the main selling point. Will the device make me happy or hurt my brain? And in my book, insta360 is definitely a lot of fun.

Hoping for a bundle that has a “protection” scheme to it, as the ones currently in store are just for the screen. & underwater. Perhaps a durable case, with screen protectors & lens protection. It seems like a great camera but a camera can only be so good for as long as it lasts; coming from someone who intends to use this camera in the outdoors at high speeds typically.

Wouldn’t want it to somehow go flying and it’s completed busted because of it.
The accidental warranty is nice but it’s only for one year at most. Which seems too short.

Really nice action camera!
But personally I am looking for a new 360 camera, so I was much hoping that your new camera would be a 360 camera and not just a standard action camera.
I guess most of us are dreaming about a waterproof 360 camera with 1 inch leica lenses.
In other words, the ultimate 360 camera that you could have to absolutely everything.

I've heard from a few online reviews that while the demo model you sent out to creators had a removable (therefore replaceable) lens cover, the final product for mass public distribution will not. Can you confirm this, meaning damaged lens's need to be sent back to Insta360 for repair (like the X3)???

Hey Insta360, do you have a protective lens filter for your ACE Pro available or soon to be available? For those of us that ride dirt bikes off road through shrubbery infested single track this would be a very important feature. As it’s always cheaper to replace a scratched up filter than a new camera, and filters can be replaced on the fly (at location), so no real downtime at a shooting location. So if one is not available now, it might be a good addition for the future.
