OpenWrt on VirtualBox - Create One or More Virtual Sub-Nets

This video aims to bring together all the pieces of the puzzle - Firewall, SSH, Internet and multiple sub-nets if desired. I will try to demonstrate in the simplest possible terms how things are connected and what makes them work.

Commands used in this video can be copy / pasted below in your project:

Hi. Thanks for the video and your clear explanation. I followed the instruction but I have a problem in connecting the WiFi adaptor to the OpenWrt. I have a PC which I want to use it as a router with one embedded LAN port, two additional PCI LAN ports and one WiFi 6E adaptor (Tenda E33). As the driver for Tenda E33 is only available for Windows 11, i installed VitrualBox on Windows 11 and by your instruction I installed OpenWrt. Is it possible to somehow introduce the WiFi adaptor to the OpenWrt and be able to create wireless access point?

Hi, thanks a lot for great explanation. It really helped me to setup my virtual router. It would be great to have some video explanation how to force traffic from host OS through virtual router in future😅. I spent a week already trying to forward my Mac's (host OS) internet traffic through virtual OpenWRT router, but still no luck. Meanwhile, external attached devices work perfectly.
