We can only imagine the burden September faced as he carried the weight of his swollen and infected head, consumed by thick layers of crusted pus.

This puppy was brought into the shelter with no known history. So, all we can do is make assumptions about his life before rescue. But, we can be certain that sweet September has suffered a great deal of torment. The stabbing ache of his infected head has kept him from doing anything other than lying around. Fortunately, he is in safe hands now, and we hope the vet will shed some light on what we can do to ease his suffering.

That said, we will keep you all updated as we learn more about the extent of his injuries, as we are still unsure whether his left eye is even there.
