as soon as the red mute goes out (its more like a quick flash) let go of the # (its real quick)and then dial all the numbers in order. If it goes into checking the lights at the top, you may have to start over. Its best to leave the rj45 barely unplugged, before you plug it in. You know you have done it right, the red mute light will be on solid, if not you have to start again

Does this cisco phone with model 8841 has internet without cable ? because it does has cable but can i connect it to the internet without a cable please let me know asap thank you

My 8841 never gets the red Mute button to light up at all. The jack and speakerphone buttons light up okay. Very strange.
