Why would Russia sabotage their pipelines when all they had to do is flip a switch? Very possibly the US was concerned Germany might reconsider using it.

Swedish gov held a press meeting about the Nordstream sabotage an hour ago. Our foreign minister, Ann Linde, was asked if the leaks was on Swedish territorial waters, when she said no, she was asked what had happened IF the leaks was on Swedish territorial waters. The journalist was asking these questions due to the Swedish gov not classifying the sabotage as an act of war. Ann Linde then claimed that before the gov could judge the severity of the crime (how to classify the sabotage), they needed to find out who the perpetrator was. This is not how law and justice works, and it leads me to believe that the Swedish gov knows with certainty who did this, but are to scared to call them out. Had they believed that the Russians or anyone affiliated with them had committed the sabotage, they would not hessitate to classify it as "an act of war".

As for the Germans, if it's confirmed the U.S. is responsible the motives are clear.
And it's certainly not pro-European or EU.
Germany should ditch their support for Zelenskyy and immediately enter negotiations on resuming productive relations with Russia.

The (growing) protests in Germany, asking for an opening of NS 2 -- requiring an end to the sanction war -- was a very strong reason to make all this impossible! And so it happened!
