Subaru is behind the curve if it is pitching massive electrification. There has been a large backlash against EVs by the public that has grown exponentially in the last several months.. EVs are sitting on the lots for many days more than ICE cars. Ford and GM have halted production of some of their EVs for lack of sales. Both companies have bled billions on EVs as a result of the lack of sales.There ICE vehicles are sitting on the lots for many fewer days and remain profitable for both companies.

In my opinion Subarus are not what they once were. They are less reliable, the manual transmission are gone in Canada except the WRX. That means a CVT which isn't a terrible one, but is still a CVT which means boring, but still has spotty long term reliability IMO and when they break out of warranty the replacement cost is ridiculous in comparison to other brands.
