My aunt went to a place that I will soon no longer call a place of peace and happiness. It didn't just take my aunt but my cat. I miss them both dearly. My aunt at her funeral in 2023 had like 100 or so people there she set her footprint to the world. So, I guess you can say she made it all okay in the long run. I don't cry like I used to after my aunt died, I was 17 when I heard which aunt it was. A shock in my mind when I knew that she was dead. Mom told me late in the night I sunk to my knees and wailed in front of my foster mom for the first time. I did my best to not cry but that aunt was there all through when I grew up. She was a teacher remembered by so many. I am glad she got to smile and die a peaceful death. one night in February of 2023 she fell asleep to never wake up again.
