I'll tell you a little about Lando. At Silverstone, when FP2 finished I thought why not head over there and see if I can spot any of the drivers.

So I did, and waited for around 3 hours to meet Lando and get his autograph - only when I did see him and asked him to sign my lens. He said "sorry I don't have one" or something along those lines (there was lots of screaming and shouting!) and then he carried on signing people's autographs - I felt dejected having waited so long and thought that's that.
But then a minute later he came back over to me, looked at me and waved a pen - I was about two metres behind the fence at this point and walked straight towards him, everyone stepped aside as I did so, I put my lens and monopod over the fence and he asked where to sign, I said "right here" (pointing to the lens hood) "here??" he said, somewhat surprised I'd want a £6, 000 camera lens inking with pen, and I said "yes!"

I thanked him very much and he carried on signing autographs. That act of kindness will stay with me forever. He didn't have to come back to me, he had hundreds of fans screaming and shouting at him after a long day driving an F1 car and debriefing with his team after the practice sessions and must have been tired.
He's a great lad and someone I have a huge amount of respect for.

It's incredible hearing Lando talking about when he has kids walking up to him wanting an autograph, it brings him right back to when he was a kid and when he got an autograph from a driver that was the greatest feeling in the world and now he is doing the same for other kids which brings him so much joy. Lando is impossible not to like. I wish him all the best and multiple championships in the future.

love hearing him here he’s very thoughtful with his answers and truly is honest to himself and others with the brutal truths, he admits when he let himself down and that is hard to do

i adore you, norris! i really do! maybe bc we are the same age, i don’t race cars that fast or any car in general but how you keep pushing inspires me, also with the few struggles on the way. we grow, we learn, we keep trying. it gets hard before it gets easier. thanks for being this honest and sharing also your pains and sacrifices. head high, always! 💚

I hate the fact that so many people love to discredit Lando and call him a child. He is in the best form of his career so far and is the only one to be challenging Max on a consistent basis since Charles did in the first half of ‘22.

And people are saying that Piastri is better. Oscar is improving, but as of right now, he is not on the level of Lando at the moment. Lando is driving fantastically.

Lando stuck to his word about not letting his relationship with Max get in the way of fighting him on track, I'll give him that.

The biggest achievement of this saga is to see Lando getting really mature on this matter's. To become the best driver, you will have to be growing in these areas first. When you are settled, then you will have room for a real battle with the best

He became a very mature and humble driver which is not easy to see on the grid.

You hear Lando talking about how great it feels to sign autographs for kids because he was one of those kids back in the day and how amazing it made him feel and then you think about a certain driver who shows up to the paddock surrounded by bodyguards and feels as if he is too important to give time and attention to thosr peasants and just rushes through the paddock having his bodyguards push fans out of the way so he can scooter on down to where he needs to go...
