Rally fans can be almost as nuts as the drivers. If you think that was nuts, you guys really need to check out footage of the unbelievable Group B era legends driving flat out in maximum attack mode right through the middle of a parting sea of spectators.

I always love top level racing drivers appreciate the skills and sheer balls of rally drivers. I think Ocon had a go in a Alpine rally car (not the fastest class) and he said that rally drivers have balls of steel to push this hard in such difficult conditions.

@2:23 Um, Lando, yes, that is real speed. Almost all of these clips come from Rally Finland (aka 1000 Lakes Rally), which is the fastest rally on the calendar, even faster than Rally Kenya. These guys are going ~200 KPH down gravel roads, between trees, and launching the cars off of massive crests, sometimes sideways, so they land in the direction of the road

Basically, at Silverstone, go ask Valtteri, or give Kimi or Robert a call, they can fill you in on it all as all three have rallied before :D

Someone needs to show Lando footage from Rally Finland when the steering wheel comes lose in Petter Solberg's car. His navigator Phil Mills has to stop reading the pacenotes as he uses the tool kit to re-tighten the wheel. Another gem is from the car of Marcus Gronholm when he lands & a sharp stick punctures the floor underneath his navigator Timo Rautiainen. The end of stage interview is hilarious.

I've been in a WRC event twice, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Just watching this guys is amazing. I recommend it to anyone.

This is why I believe rally drivers are the best drivers on earth. The MASSIVE BALLS on these guys to throw a car down a stage whilst having to listen to the pace notes and keep it from being wrapped round a tree are just unbelievable.

I really do think that WRC or rallying in general is still massively underrated and deserves way more attention in the world of motorsport. It's still such a niche sport (in comparison to F1 or endurance racing) - everyone knows that it exists but few actually follow it.

Watching Sébastien Loeb flying on the stages with his C4 is what got me in motorsport before f1 I love this category and it’s always nice to see ppl discovering it
