Thank you for this video. My printer fell and then started to see this error (Roomba pulled on power cord which pulled the printer off the desk). After taking apart the printer and putting the cables back in as well as re-aligning the scanner gears on the track the printer works again. Much appreciated!

Thanks for your expert tips which lead me to explore the scanner (bought it used & was not informed the scanner hinge was broken) My error was a fake " paper jam". Paper would not feed. I tried the scanner with no luck. Opened up the scanner & realized the clear cover over the ink lines was getting caught due to missing plastic holder, taped it down securely. Now the paper feeds with no error messages.

My epson 2850 will not come apart the way any other video shows. The side doesn't come off. The scanner won't come off like yours. I don't understand what to do

those 2 thinner cables were they suppose to go someplace. i took screws off top and then they came off.. not sure if they are suppose to be connected to something. tx for your time. do you have an actual video of putting the wires back on?

This Video is really easy to understand but I have the problem that the scanner moves until it hits the end and gets stuck there. I don't know if the engine, the mainboard or the programming is at fault.

Thank you for the vid!!! Should I be able to turn the cogs manually when the printers off? I've isolated this part of the scanner as the problem, but I'm not sure if it's the cogs being jammed or if it's a problem with the motor powering them. I've tried realigning them but even then, when you switch it on, the motor gives 2 bursts, and then when the cog doesn't turn freely after those tries it stops, and throws up the error code stopping the entire printer. This is so frustrating as I could do without the scanner, but the printer won't work while the scanner isn't working

also be careful guys cause the inside of the glass part has a liquid/ oily part I got it all over my fingers hope it's not toxic

I have this error code although it's on an Epson xp 446. The scanner has a cracked glass. Could this be what's causing the error code? I've bought a replacement top so I'm hoping it will fix the problem if I switch out the glass for a new piece...
