In board rooms and workplaces, campuses and schools, courthouses and state houses across the country you can see AAUW hard at work to change the chilly climate often faced by women and girls into a more welcoming one for all.

More than ever, the national conversation is revolving around AAUW issues. Women in leadership, safe campuses, fair pay, women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and math — you can’t turn on the news, open a paper, or go online without seeing these issues debated on a daily basis. Almost 135 years ago, a handful of visionary women gathered to create the organization that would become AAUW — and changed the world as they knew it.
