Really disappointed and shocked by their reaction to 'Black People', Asian people dont like stereotypes about themselves created by western society/media but have formed opinions on black people created by western society/media...:(

I am not suprised that they would think gangster, dangerous and all the negative things about black people. Though we created a lot of things that the world and country use. No not slang and other so called cultural things. I mean real life practically items we all use everyday most likely was created by a black person or upgraded by a black person. Traffic lights invented by a black man Garrett A. Morgan. Open heart surgery was first successfully done by a black man named Daniel H. Williams. The light bulb was made better by a black man;Lewis Latimer. He also was the first to create what would later be Air Conditioning. Otis Boykin created the pacemaker, Henry Brown invinted the fire-proof safe. Also Granville T. Woods invinted the multiplex telegraph which allowed messages to go from train stations to moving trains. Black people are more then gangsters and criminals and being trendy and creating new dance moves and slang. The very things we take for granted would not exist if it were not for Black people. Also learn more about other people and their cultures because when you don't you sound ignorant and racist.

Not Asian and I go to karaoke all the time ;) I suck...but I still sing to my heart's content :P
Also, "mexican" isn't a language...but how about a dialect??? Cuz talking to my friend from Spain is quite fun when I start speaking "mexican" rather than grammatically correct Spanish :P

Honestly, as a black person, I am still trying to figure out where the grape juice stereotype comes from? It has stumped me for years.
Watermelon is understandable, because even though most black people don't eat watermelon, probably like once a year or once every 2 years. In the 50s when black people were living on farms, it was the most easily grown fruit. So I can sway with that one, even though it is no longer relevant.
I also, can somewhat agree with fried chicken, even though we eat it just as much as everyone else in the world. And I know more black people that prefer baked because it isn't as unhealthy, I can see how it still holds relevance.

People want to talk shit about blacks, but the funny thing is that blacks create SOOOO much of the popular culture in this country. Rap music, NBA, NFL, are all either created or dominated by black people. Popular catchphrases like "Netflix & Chill, " "On Fleek, " "Bae" were created by blacks and spread to the larger society via social media. People will listen to Beyonce and cheer for an NBA team, but will openly discriminate against the nearest black person and think it's okay. This country has such a hypocrisy when it comes to race that it's a borderline mental illness.

We don't have many Asians, African Americans, or anything here where I live. Just white people, and it's actually sickening after awhile. I find it very interesting to interact with people from a different ethnic group because you get to learn new things about each other and how alike or different you are from them. It also teaches you to not judge people based on skin color, culture, etc and to focus on the person's personality instead. In the end a person's personality shouldn't indicate how a race acts over all. That's just one person in the race. Not all African American's are bad people, I have an African American in my class and he's a very sensitive and caring guy. I just think people fear what they don't understand and fear someone who doesn't look the same as them. Which is sad because there are a lot of different but awesome people out there.

why is the comment section giving this people shit? They were asked if they knew stereotypes, not their personal opinion.
