I am glad Limited Run will be releasing larger quantities of games that people actually want to buy. Seems like a win win to me.

I love the 3 button controller for MD/GEN consoles.

The 6-Button Mega Drive pad is also one of my favourite ever. Probably second place.

Great vids and channel mate. Love it. Dreamcast vid was what sold me on it.

I believe the "Ars" in Ars Technica is pronounced "Arz"; it's not an acronym.

the 68000 cycle perfect core would be great for old macs, st, genesis, jaguar(sortof) and some others that use it. *insert McDonalds Jingle*...Im loving it!!

They are developing for it because of friendly dry ups for developers such as Intellivision has internal teams that can help smaller developers get there project up and going, games will be released as 1 game every 10 days to two weeks meaning your game gets the spotlight for that period in the online shop, and average cost for producing a game for Amico will be 150k a game or so. I'm very excited for the direction of this console and the passion that the company has for it and the amazing team they are putting together

Totally agree with you Bob on the limited run. I'm not a collector, just a gamer. Some game I really like to have a physical copy that still look nice in the shelve but nothing fancy

To honor smokemonster can you please wear fingerless gloves at all times when hosting this podcast? It can be the host badge of honor.

26:00 According to Luis, a co-developer who helped with the graphics on Paprium, this was a video to show off the BG layer and fx. He also said he's played later builds with all of the enemies and A.I. Seeing how he's also spoken out about Fonzi's issues and lack of communication, I see no reason for him to lie.

My guess as for why a later built wasn't used is because there is no DATANMEISTER coprocessor. WM did post a sort of cryptic post about issues with that chip months ago, so that would explain the glitches, and why they might have removed the enemy sprites. I don't see it running large sprites like that without some add on-chip help. Perhaps he should change it into a 32X or Sega CD game with the added power those would bring.

As a someone who spent $70 on a pre-order, I'm of course not happy. I saw and heard some amazing things running on what I thought was a stock Genesis (whicu now seems it was on GENS emulation) and I took a chance on it without requiring more proof of its existence. I'm still holding out a bit of hope that it may still be completed in some form and shipped to the buyers some day.

I loved your dreamcast video. I had done some mods, but there's some I haven't and will do soon, like the fan mod :)

Hi Bob - great roundup (welcome back)! Just a quick note that BC'S Quest for Tires was not exclusive to the Coleco -- we used to play it on an Apple ][e. Looks like it may have also been available on Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit, ZX Spectrum, and more. The good news is you can probably fire up a C64 core or an Apple ][+ core on the MiSTer (or even the Colecovision core) and play it on there.

I got the regular version of the Super Mario Encyclopedia and it is definitely great, especially for $24 at Amazon.

It is known that the Wii started out as a hardware addition to the GCN. It wasn't until later that they decided to release it as a standalone console due to GCN's low sales numbers.

Bob, I thought the dreamcast video was ok, but it didn't really cover anything new. I guess it was an ok video for people not in the know on this stuff. Sometimes it's hard to remember that not everyone is obsessed with modding consoles and such as I am. I gave it a thumbs up but I don't think I was the target audience.

Interested in Yooka-Laylee filters. N64 needs smoothing, it looks horrible pixel perfect or with "de-blur" enabled. Doesn't look right at all, that's why the Retrotink-2X is so good for the N64 due to the smoothing feature.
