At least deinterlacing of 480i/576i should be possible in future firmware versions of the Koryuu transcoder. Still researching issues with line doubling of 240p/288p content. It would be interesting to hear how much of an interest people have in these two features.


The firmware will be open-sourced when the product actually launches, so people can adapt the device to their needs. Also, sufficient documentation about the hardware will be provided. There is a plan to release detailed schematics and design files at some point later.

Very excited for the Satiator and also very happy that he's taking his time to get it right. I can get by with my Pseudo Saturn cart for now, but I'm ready to give my optical drive a break.

Quality 32X ports of just a handful more Sega games would make a 32X worthwhile for me to pick up. As it stands, I don't have a desire to play anything beyond Virtua Racing Deluxe and NBA Jam TE. Daytona, Outrun, Shinobi, and one or two more games would have done it for me.

What really would have sold the system is Super Street Fighter II Turbo, not Street Fighter the Movie.

The Koryuu looks very interesting to me for my Amiga CD32. Most every console I have goes through component to a Sony Trinitron CRT except the Amiga CD32 and the Dreamcast. So for my setup being able to do Svideo to Component would be great to keep things consistent. It would of course be nice just to have an add-on module directly for the CD32 to output to component (since it can do RGB from the back expansion port) but surprisingly I haven't found any component modules for the CD32 yet. GGlabs had the A520HD which might have done the trick in conjunction with a RGB out expansion board but sadly it doesn't seem to be in production any more.

Hey, I found the multiboy 32 through your website. Do you have any news about the project of if there are any other Virtual Boy flash cart around? I'm looking forward for the Multiboy 32, but so far there is no material around showing the device, so I assume it isn't out yet.

Was a little alarmed by that cable. I mean, you design a cable for a very specific purpose and you put it out into the world... and it doesn't fulfill that very specific purpose? I am sure she will fix it, but makes me wonder why you wouldn't just make one and plug it in first =\

I have two Phoebe ODE's for the Saturn, which still allow me to use the Video card where the Satiator will be and won't allow you to. So other than keeping the disk drive in there, what other benefits will the Satiator have over the Phoebe/Rhea? I know availability might be one eventually which is nice.
