There wasn’t enough speed, he didn’t sit forward enough, terrible rider. It’s sad how it’s never nough for showjumping horses and they have to be pushed to their limit. But sometimes it’s too late and the horse and rider get injured or can die 😢

my old barn did these kind of jumps but with real bricks and smaller. so once, a horse didn’t jump right, and the rider wasn’t even well trained, strides weren’t even counted or anything and the horse had a big bruise and some scratches. put down that same afternoon. poor horse just needed some rest. luckily i don’t go there anymore, they were so goddamn cruel. the mares were ridden until the last day of their pregnancy and just a day after they have their foal, they are back galloping on circles.
