Thanks. How about a video on specific workout exercises for mountain biking (weight training, cardio, etc.). Apologies if you've already done one on that topic and I missed it.

A really good tip I got once was to look at where you want to go on the trail - and not at what you want to miss. I think it’s called target fixation- that big rock? Well yes it will stop your progress if you stare at it.2. But see that really narrow bit that goes just to the left of it - keep your eyes on that!

Not trying to sound snarky but, I'm glad this 'essentials' video didn't say, "master the bunny hop". 😂

All great tips. Stay hydrated too helps. When I began riding I had headaches after each ride. Wasn’t hydrated as much as I thought.

You spend long enough around this channel & sooner or later you realise that there's only so much to say about riding bikes & it's all been said before. Many times. On GMBN.

As someone who was off the bike for 15+ years, but spent 15 years prior on the bike I feel that none of these tips address the core and main thing about it all.
It's just good old practice. Repetition.

Just ride the damn thing. Every day. The skill just creeps in slowly. You dont have to try new tricks, jumping etc. Just ride without thinking.

Things like standing up on descents, shifting your weight, not only backwards, but also to the sides when cornering all come to you when you've been riding long enough.
I feel that too many people watch more videos on how to ride than they actually ride.
