The Griffin Design SCHF42 combines rugged great looks with functional re-liability. Nearly ten inches in length, the knife enjoys the multiple benefits of a full tang forged from easily sharpened 1095 high carbon steel.
The sharp tip of the drop point blade offers powerful piercing strength. The 5.12 inch fine edge, with a slight recurve as it approaches the handle, ar-rives slicing sharp straight from Schrade.
Deeply grooved jimping on the blade’s thick steel spine gives you a solid platform for exerting added down force and increases blade control—no matter the cutting task. The iconic Griffin Design logo appears just below the jimping.
The 4.83 inch grivory handle slabs are heat, chemical, abrasion, and corro-sion resistant and are solidly attached to the full tang by dual steel bolts. The tang’s end extends through the contoured handle to form a crushing tool… as well as providing a lanyard hole.
Sheath the SCHF42 in the black premium leather grommet reinforced belt sheath. The generous loop accommodates belts of nearly any size and the single snap strap makes for easy access.

I love the fact this was designed by someone I have had the privilege of getting to know over the past couple of years. In fact, Brian sold me my first Schrade and it is by far my favorite blade.

This is a "must have" knife! 1095 high carbon steel with recurve blade that is built for processing wood. Also comes with a quality leather sheath! What more could I want?

But the best part is the customer service and warranty that is offered through Scrade is second to none. I dealt with them today and was very pleased with their service!

I can honestly say that after having mine for a few weeks, it out performs other blades I have that cost two and three times more. This is a "custom made" knife at a mass produced price. Any woodsman/survivalist/weekend camper would benefit from owning such a fine product. Don't waste your hard-earned money on anything else! I am amazed at this knife every time I use it. It does what it is supposed to and it does it very well. BUY IT! You will thank me later.
