When we decluttered our closets I posted most of it on Poshmark and made over 2K, which we are going to spend on a vacation. ♥ I love watching decluttering.

In Visual Merchandising class, for Fashion Design degree, they taught us to hang clothing, organized from light to dark, short to long, solids to prints to neutrals. Small to large, if you want your closet to look like a boutique.

You should totally get a small area rug for in your closet. It would help on the dust and feel nice when you are getting dressed!

We slowly replaced all of our throw pillows with 18x18 pillow inserts and then just purchased pillow covers, for all seasons and holidays. It cleared up SO much clutter and space!

When I did my closet clean out and organization, I changed my plastic hangers to slim hangers. Changing the hangers to slim gave me more space in my tiny closet. I use wooden hangers for my coats and jackets. I donated all of my plastic hangers.

Just a suggestion you can get slim hangers to have more space in your closet. Great job decluttering and organizing!

Great job on your closet! I used to keep all my throw pillows as well. But I found my taste in color/texture would change and I would end up buying new. So, I made the decision to donate the ones I had put up. It freed up so much space. Thank you for the decluttering vlog - I love them as it is very motivating!❤

When I organize my clothes and my husband's clothes we organize them by seasons. It just seems to make more sense for both of us. You and your husband did an amazing job with decluttering and organizing your master closet. I can't wait to see your other decluttering and organizing videos! I keep our master closet organize with mine and my husband's clothes. I organize both sides by clothing item type (t-shirt, polos, sweaters, hoodies, pants, etc) then do by color. It always feels so refreshing when it's done and I can see everything I have there to choose from .

Velvet hangers are a lifesaver. They give you much more space than plastic

I sort by type (ie all shirts, pants and dresses) then I color code within each type I put all the no sleeves first, then short sleeves, then long sleeves. Makes it easier, for me, to get dressed. Looks good.

Great video and motivation. I'm in the process of decluttering. Turned the hangers on all my tees and shirts to see what I really wear. After washing the item it goes back on the rack the correct way. Its amazing how I only wear my favorites. 😃
