I think the bigger issue in the church today is that people aren't actually born again and are false converts vs true born again believers.
So you have false converts with various levels of "faith" and then you have Spirit-filled believers who have God's faith. The faith of the false convert is the blind faith of the world but as they are coming to faith and learning to trust God their faith does grow. It's like they have a tiny ember of the Holy Spirit and when they feed it oxygen it flows brighter and grows but when someone has greater submittal to a religious spirit, it keeps that ember small and suffocated. It's why we see people begin to come to faith and then get deceived into erroneous discipleship and never actually get born again. It's like a breached birth--the baby is stuck--so they think they have saving faith but it's not--its all works of the flesh--psychological tricks and demonic strongholds keeping them in captivity. If they die in that state then they were spiritually stillborn. Thank God He intervenes sometimes and pulls us out, says, "will you serve me or do you want to crawl back into that womb which is warm and familiar even if you were all jammed up in that birth canal?"
And some people will turn away and choose their religiosity while others will cast it aside and finally walk with Him.
It's really difficult to minister to those dead in their religious pride. It's easy when it's by the Spirit, He gives you the unction and the words and it works. But trying to do it of the flesh is hard--you can't force them, so the better option is to walk by the Spirit and live it at them--let them see what you have is real and powerful and different from that counterfeit holy spirit they have which keeps them in doubt and unbelief.

There are different levels of faith or otherwise, Jesus wouldn't have been amazed by the Centurian and the syro-phonencian woman who had GREAT Faith and they were gentiles. Also in the word it says if you have faith the size of a mustard seed(indicates there are levels of faith) you can remove this mountain. The Greatest faith is to believe in God period!
