I love Chopping Mall, and remaking it makes about as much sense as doing a remake of Death Spa. If anything, they'll end up doing a movie about ghosts coming thru Netflix streams or something.

Fun cult slasher horror which doesn't needs a fucking remake with possessed mannequins instead of killer robots. They should have made a sequel years ago IMO.

One of my all time favourites. Love everything about the movie.

Having said that, I think the idea of possessed mannequins killing people in a shopping mall is AWESOME.

It's just a shame that the director dude was such an asshole to the fans and so disrespectful to Jim Wynorksi so he can eat shit for that.

Heh, his complaint was that killer robots are - silly? Does he not get the movie? And, of course, the idea of slave spirits in a remake of Chopping Mall is silly in a whole different way. Not that a remake of CM is a good idea in the first place. A film about possessed mannequins could actually be entertaining - but it doesn't need (and shouldn't have) the Chopping Mall name.

I'd like to pick up the blu-ray of Chopping Mall but the movie is currently on amazon prime. Money's tight and those Vestron discs are expensive. I'm probably going to watch it on Prime soon.

Excellent job on the review. Yeah, that remake sounds dumb as fuck. Chopping Mall is definitely a fun, entertaining & fast paced movie.

I am like you Pizz. I love love love this slasher movie. It is so much fun, very entertaining, a catchy score you directly hooked. Great cast too. It is fast paced less than 80 minutes of pure entertainment. Huge fan of this great movie. :-)
