But Russia once held chunks of California and Alaska. Ultimately Russia sold them to the USA between 1840s and 1860s. If Russia had not considered USA as its friend and vice versa, why would they allow USA to rule in these regions. I mean, if Russia would have felt threatened by USA, why didn't they make Alaska and California a separate country/vassal states of their own?

It blows my mind that Western governments/people in general seem dumbfounded by the Global South's tilt to the East.

US/UK/Europe often act like moral arbiters of 'rules-based order' - but in practice, they are imposing rules and values in other territories that they themselves don't observe.
They have massively disproportionate power in terms of their influence in international frameworks like the UN (not a single African or South American nation has a permanent seat on Security Council for example)
AND they rely on the Global South for resources but continue to control/manipulate smaller economies, and do not treat developing nations as partners.

The allure of Russia and China is real - they are simply alternatives to Western unipolarity - and India is in a great position to become a global leader in a multipolar world.
Western countries have to start restoring trust by addressing historical grievances and approaching countries in the Global South as partners, rather than weaker nations to be taken advantage of.

Europe might have always been a place of conflict n ethnic hatreds, but at least they never let an outside civilization take over. They at least had that much sense, self respect and loyalty. Indians never did. The 2 case studies of India and Europe are glaringly opposite. Europeans also remembered their common ancestry in roman empire. Indians forgot all about theirs by the time barbarians came to the gates. Rest is history...

i saw various public reaction show, reddit and twitter where russian's ask about india and indian they have a highly negative and vulgar approach toward us, even some russians don't know that we exist .but ironically pakistanis think better than russian about indian . but contradictory we indian always pays respect to them on basis of 1971 help .

As a Gen ZAmerican I love Russia. Russia definitely doesn’t have the same religion as the rest of Europe. Or even the decaying North American countries.
