Hello everybody! This is a video about the Seagate Expansion 4TB USB 3.0 3.5 Inch External Hard Drive. In terms of performance, this drive offers a great value for money. It is not super lightweight and needs an external power adapter (included in the package) but it performs a lot better than the 2.5 inch portable hard disks. In terms of design, it is very well designed with 3d textures and has air vents to keep the drive cool under heavy load.

What about noise? I have the previous model of Seagate external 3.5" drives, also 3TB, and it's louder than my desktop computer (which admittedly is very quiet).

had it for 2 years and it's still going. only problem is that when you plug it in the 3.0 port it cuts off alot. when you put it in the 2.0 port it doesn't have that problem at all

Awesome review! I just bought the Seagate 2.5-inch 4TB external hard drive and I love it very much, but mine only camr with the hard drive & USB cable, which is excellent, as I don't need another power adapter eating up my light bill lol. In addition, I love how quiet it is and it doesn't get hot at all. I store media files (mainly MP3 & movies) and documents on it. USB thumb drives are not reliable at all (I found that out the hard way lol).

How about the noise? Is it loud enough, like a slow spin up speed and a max speed noise almost like a jet engine or a raid siren? Of course not as loud, but kind of the same sound.

just want to share my terrible experience. I had my maxtor 1T send to netherlands to recover data which only have 2 years life time then sudden death. Journey took 2 months. Yesterday i get my recovered data stored in a 2T seagate expansion+ but encrypted by bitlocker. the decryption process is hell long only 52% stuck, then i pause and shut down, next day it is unreadable and no way to format it. So bad seagate quality!
If You hear a beep beep sound, meaning count down to sudden death starts!
