Not only did God create everything we can touch and see in 6 days, He did it as an example to us and gave us a schedule of work 6 days and rest 1 day, like an loving Father would. He could have created everything in a millisecond if He wanted to.

It is sad when Christians try to shoehorn deep-time into the scriptures when it is clearly not there. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. In Six literal 24hr days everything was created...to give context God rested on the seventh 24hr day as an example for man to rest one day in seven and keep the sabbath holy. God did not rest for millions or billions of years on day seven as an example for man to follow. Adam was created on day six of creation..sometime after day six, Adam sinned. The bible teaches that the wages of sin is death. There was no death before Adam's original sin. The Bible provides the genealogy of the generations from Adam to Jesus the Christ. From this genealogy we can determine the age of the Earth to be some 6, 000 plus years old. Deep time is a myth.

When I read Gen 2:19, 20, it seems impossible to me that Adam could have gone through so many experiences within a few hours of the 6th day of creation. The things that took place are as follows (I am not including the creation of the animals, which were created on the same day, only things from Adam's perspective)
- Man had a job that required time to observe animals (from the Hebrew names of animals, it is clear that some really required a long time to observe, e.g. stork, Heb. chasidah).
- Although he enjoyed the work, he had to realize that he had no partner, although God was available and apparently spoke to him.
- He certainly ate, drank, and went to the toilet (in my opinion, these would precede the need for a wife), and since all these things were new to him (including walking, etc.), he would hardly feel blue for lack of companionship.
- He slept while Eve was being created.
- He composed his first poem.
- He attended his own wedding where they received God's blessing.

As I said, this seems to me extremely unlikely, even impossible, to happen in one day. I would say it must have taken much longer.

My kids class at church, I try to include archeological finds and historical facts. Last week I went over the Pharaoh of the exodus and played part of Expedition Bible video on the tomb of the exodus Pharaoh where his first born died young and was buried in the Pharaoh tomb.and his mummy has boil like scars.

Two weeks ago I talked about how Senenmut life parallels the life of Moses in the right time period.

This week I'll be talking about Joseph standing before a Hyksos Pharaoh, the Pharaoh that knew not Joseph and Avaris was abandoned during the time of the exodus.

the problem with what mr carter says is that the only living things that existed on our planet during 2/3 of its geological history were unicellular microorganisms like modern day bacteria, it is kind of curious that genesis been the word of god did not mention them, maybe because they are microscopic god could not see them

I tell my 4th-5th grade Sunday School students that I want them to know where they came from and how we got here so they can find their way home.

If someone tries to validate God through the Bible and/or another ancient book or scripture, this will not work too, as the Bible is The Appeal to Authority Fallacy, you can't validate something only by the source alone.

Scientifically speaking, if God created the heavens and the earth where did God come from. Also considering that in the Bible it's says Gods (as in more than one) what are they're names and why aren't they mentioned in the bible?

A couple of issues.

The Bible offers us a structure for the Earth and the wider cosmos. Biblically the Earth is a disc of rock floating underneath in a vast ocean, and there is a sort of dome over the disc that has air trapped under it which prevents the waters above the disc from crashing down and devastating all of creation... Yet we believe that the Earth is a globe and there are no waters above that can crash down and devastate the world we live in.

The Bible also expresses geocentrism, the idea that the sun and planets orbit around the Earth, but we comfortably agree to heliocentrism where the and the Earth orbit around the sun despite this view contradicting the Bible.

But for some reason when it's not about the shape of the Earth, or the center of the solar system, when the Geologists get around to using various methods to date the Earth, and they consistently come up with the same unbiblical number, we have creationists insisting that it's wrong because it contradicts the Bible.

So let us look at what the Bible actually says, the very first thing it says.

When a human says a word he creates a sound package that contains some information allowing others to understand what he is refering to; but God's voice is so powerful that when He says a word, instead of a sound package specifying the referent, He outright creates the referent itself.

This makes creation itself the first hand word of God. Me, you, the floor underfoot, the trees outside, the clouds overhead, the stars, everything is the Word of God literally. The Bible, amazing as it is has an inferior claim to legitimacy against the whole of creation itself; so much so that the Bible literally begins with a disclaimer that grants superiority to creation as a whole.

Furthermore, if what the Bible says is true we should be able to arrive at the same conclusions without using it as a point of reference.
But we've already agreed that the Bible can be wrong about the shape of the Earth and the center of the solar system, so maybe we can extend that to a few more matters, perhaps we should take the Genesis 1 disclaimer seriously.
