Deputies shoot, kill armed man at Tampa apartment complex

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said a deputy-involved shooting happened Sunday morning at a Tampa apartment complex.

The deputies and the locals did all they could do to talk this guy out of this situation. The suspect made his choice and forced the deputies hands. Everyone is saying how sad this situation was but no sympathy here. The guy was violent, he was armed, and he made his choice. Why does he deserve any sympathy?

My sincere best wishes are with those three officers. No one wants to take a life, but no innocent person needs to die. Those three will always wonder if they could have done something differently. The suspect wanted to commit suicide. He achieved his wishes by pointing his weapon at the officers. Thank G-D these officers did not wait to see if he would fire his weapon.

The saddest part is that to little is spent on a budget for social and medical for the vulnerable in the communities. This young man is another example of that. The chief is right, the deputies in this case had little choice given the fact that no social worker or psychologist was present.
