Does Rogaine work? In today's episode, Eric is talking about his personal experience using it.

Eric says he noticed the hair on his crown beginning to thin when he grew his hair out, and in order to take action and do something about it, he began using Rogaine about six months ago.

He says he decided to go with Rogaine foam, and is not using Finasteride or Nizoral shampoo (two other products that are helpful in fighting hair loss.) He also explains that the recommended usage is twice per day, but he has been sticking with once per day application and has not seen any real side effects other than a few ingrown hairs and possibly thicker facial hair.

Rogaine definitely helped me keep my hair. The results were extraordinary. Granted, I was never bald... I started using as soon as I noticed a bit of thinness and SOME shedding (very little). It stopped that after 1 month and after 6 months my hair was A LOT thicker and healthier looking.

Hey Eric. I want to say that you have inspired me in more ways that I can count. Your positive attitude and openness to change and growth are really refreshing to me.

As for Minoxidil. I started using it on my temples, and saw some small hair regrowth. I then went to my entire head for about 3 weeks. I found the horrid "shedding phase" to be terrifying. A lot came out. But it slowly slowed down and now I use specifically on my temples. Lots of new hair growth, and my hairline is looking to be back to what it was a few years ago. I use Lipogaine and I really recommend it.

Other things I found useful were the use of essential oils; Emu oil, lavendar oil, rosemary oil, castor oil. I put all of those in a mixture and apply to my whole head. It really brings thickness and helps keeping the hair smooth and healthy. I also use the dermaroller on the areas where I apply the minoxidil. It really speeds up the process and gets the product deep into your pores. It hurts at first, but now I'm used to it.

Hope this information is helpful to anyone reading! Eric, thanks again for shining light on this. We can't all have thick and full hair, and many of us suffer with it. The good news is that there are products and methods to prevent and even bring it back! Glad you made a video on it.

If you have any allergic reaction or itchiness from Rogaine, try Kirkland Minoxidil. Much less irritating (for me). Also happens to be much cheaper...

I've never used it for head hair and hope I never have to... But it has given me a full beard after so long of not having one.

This type of thing doesn’t have to be seen as a burden. Women have routines that they do everyday, this is something some men do everyday, I just consider this an addition to my morning and nightly skincare routine. I think it’s all perspective, if u feel it’s like shackles, it’ll feel like shackles, if u feel like it’s a healthy part of your cosmetic routine, then that’s all it will be :)

Minoxidil/Rogaine WORKS for your BEARD too!! I've been using it for 6 months on my face, and I went from having almost nothing to nearly a full beard now. I have everything on my channel. I'm not trying to promote my videos but I just want you guys to know that it does work.

It definitely works!! I'm on my 2nd month only and my hair is much thicker. My beard too! But what I'm loving the most is my hair is at least 2 shades darker!! Hasn't been this dark in 15 years lol! I'm using it only once a day as well and in foam form too. I absolutely love this product and will probably use it for a couple years. Haven't noticed much shedding or itchy scalp. Guess its different for us all. Anyway use it for head and/or beard. U will not be disappointed :-)

The key to keeping your hair is minoxidil PLUS finasteride. Fin keeps DHT down, while minoxidil regrows the hair.

I DO believe Rogaine helps, but in your "before" photo your hair is wet, and in your "after" photo, your hair is dry. So it's not the best comparison. From my own personal experience with the product, for my beard AND head, I think it makes the existing hair thicker, but doesnt necessarily grow a bunch more.

I've been using it on the crown of head and under my bottom lip as well as taking 5000 mg of biotin and I can honestly say it works definitely no doubt at least for me

Minoxidil does work on beards as well. There are side effects such as dry skin. In some cases rapid heart beat and some unwanted hair. I Defiantly recommend consulting with your doctor before making the 6 month to year commitment to the product.

Cool man! Nice to see a real guy doing s video about this. I just started with the foam a week ago. No hair loss in the front, but at 42, my crown was getting thin so I'm hoping it will thicken back up again. I'm using it in the morning and at night.. hope I get great results like you
