Melting Plastic Waste into Coasters ☕️ #recycledplastic

Want to turn plastic waste into something new? Easy. With just some basic tools tools and equipment, we melted and moulded recycled plastic into a set of coasters. To get the finale shape we used our bottle jack press and some spare mould inserts we had lying around, but you could just as easily make a flat sheet and cut out your own designs. Super simple, but they're a really nice starter project and all done with everyday equipment! 🔧🌱

You can see why only a fraction of what we recycle is actually recycled. Doesn’t matter what bin you’re putting it in- no local authority is funding this! Cool for a hobby but that’s about it.
