Turning Plastic Waste into 100% Recycled Tiles ♻️

By popular request we're showing you our process of making 100% recycled plastic coasters, with a particular focus on how the moulds work. These are made from 100% post-consumer plastic waste that we collect, clean, dry, sort, shred and inject using our injection moulding machine. These could also be used for tiling, which we really want to try in a future video!

We hope you enjoy the video!

It would be interesting to see a video of your process on designing and making the moulds. Would be a good collab with precious plastics.

If those hexagons were a little thinner they would be awesome as game board tiles, like the ones in Catan. You guys are doing an amazing job!
Do you keep any sort of record of how much plastic you've recycled so far? It would be great to know how much plastic hasn't ended up in the ocean or landfills thanks to you and your community.

This could also be a really cool looking table top for a side/end, nightstand, dining table inlay. I can also see making a stool top with these and trimming the excess for recycling.

Very cool! Something I don't understand is why plastic waste isn't melted down into logs or bricks and then used to make sheds or even houses. Especially, for tiny homes for people who are without a home.

I enjoy the diy videos of recycling plastic. These videos make me feel like I’m watching the inside of a small scale injection molded plastic factory. Normal people don’t have those tools.

You guys gained a subscriber… this was so satisfying to watch and the coasters are so pretty and it’s awesome that you give plastic a new life; how it could stay in theory forever and never need replacement

Been a fan of plastic for a long time, Built the Granulator that Precious plastics designed. Never been used. Just after building it i had to move and its been in storage for the past 4 years. Still collecting HDPE, Now I'm thinking it's time to do something with it.

Hi. Really got into plastic recycling after watching your videos. Made my own slab mould this morning and trying it out. Cheers. Paul in Essex but from Bournemouth originally
