Hands-on review with Lenovo's Yoga Slim 7 laptops, fresh 14 and 15-inch notebooks for 2020 with AMD or Intel smarts, dedicated graphics, and up to 4K visuals. Could these be the best new laptops of 2020 so far?

While most of the attention was on the ThinkPad X1 Fold and Yoga 5G, these thin and portable PCs were also launched by Lenovo at CES 2020 and they're well worth a look. Despite the skinny build, the Slim 7 series laptops offer strong performance. Even the base AMD Ryzen 4000 platform can smash through everyday tasks, while the 10th Gen Intel Core version comes with a choice of GeForce graphics.

Battery life is estimated at 14 hours for the Full HD models, while Lenovo reckons you'll get 11 hours from the special edition 14-inch model with fabric finish. This version also offers Ultra HD visuals, so it's ideal for kicking back with Netflix or editing your pics in incredibly fine detail.

When describing the processors, if they are 10th gen, you should really say if it is comet lake or ice lake, it makes a difference. Thanks nonetheless

hiii i have this laptop lenovo yoga slim 7 it is working fine but there is one problem when i shut down my laptop and close the lid and after that when i pick it up to put my laptop in bag when my hand gives touch to the upper surface of lid it turn on. for example i pack my latop in the night and after that i go to my bed. In the morning when i check my laptop it was on and cahrging was 0. at first time i seems to me that i didnt shutdown it properly but 3 to 4 times i faced same problem can you help me kindly?

To this point, I can't tell whether Lenovo still got it at tech world or they just try to become another commodities maker like Kingston.

its a shame that 15" model has no AMD option, but only i7 1065G7.

Minute 3:19, anyone noticed those rough edges below the headphone jack? and the couple of metal looking things sticking out below the HDMI port?

I own this laptop but I noticed a single issue with the design. The area
where the bottom of the laptop meets the top between the two screws on
both the left and right side seem to have a small gap between the two
layers. When you slide your finger from top to bottom you can feel the
edge of the bottom half slightly coming forward and not seamlessly fuse
with the top. I've contacted Lenovo support about this issue and they
said it wasn't harmful and if I found it too annoying I could get it
fixed for free. Although, I was wondering if I could fix it myself by
maybe unscrewing the bottom half and putting it back on again. Or, maybe
only tightening the screws would do the trick. If anyone has some ideas
please let me know as it's very annoying and I don't want to send my
laptop back and wait around 1/2 weeks for it to return.
