Braid to Mono Knots - Alberto Knot: Other than the FG knot, the Alberto Knot is one of the best ways to tie braid to mono. The Alberto Knot creates a small knot between the braid and monofilament lead just like the FG knot

In this video, I will show you all how to tie the Alberto Knot. Learning both the FG Knot, see video, and the Albert knot will always be useful when tying a braid to a monofilament lead. Learning the Alberto knot will be a knot you will always use, and is easily one of the strongest fishing knots for tying monofilament or Fluorocarbon to braided line. The one items to remember is to wrap the braid seven times towards the lead and then seven times back through each twist toward the braid. Once you put the tag end of the braid back through the loop you pull the braid (tag and main line) and monofilament (tag and lead) in opposite directions. Once you have a fairly decent knot then for the main line and lead in opposite directions until the knot is secure and very tight.
