I just bought a Jetta sport yesterday. For me this car is all I want in a vehicle. I came from a base model Kia forte 6 speed. It had nothing beside traction control so this is a perfect upgrade for me. A small screen that done at sit above the dash. A manual transmission. Heated seats. And front and rear facing cameras. Although I prefer my mirrors over a camera. Maybe I’m old school but for a beginner car or a commuter car for car pooling or whatever I feel this is a great buy

Jetta Sport is a keeper for a cheaper daily driver. Not perfect, but a solid value in todays rip off car industry.

The Jetta Sport is probably the best value in a compact sedan. Plus having the option of a manual or 8 speed Aisin Japanese built auto is huge in that segment.

Nice review. Bought 24' Sport w/6spd. Agree with most points. Has good options for daily driver at reasonable price. Not as exciting as GLI but driving a "slow" car fast can be just as fun with less drama. Paying less than MSRP vs sticker or mkt adj on other premium options in segment makes me enjoy the drive even more.

I’ve always liked the Jetta, an alternative to the others in the segment. I think the styling is on the conservative side but not necessarily a bad thing. Anyone know what the future holds for the Jetta in North America?

I had a 2018 Jetta, I like the MPG's I was getting (33MPG) and the interior space. I was not too fond of the turbo lag with the engine, the transmission shuddered at slow speed, and the seats were hard

Great review Anthony. For the $$ this would be my choice in this segment. I remember back in th 80's the Jetta was so popular and then it went through a bit of a malaise period and it's nice to see it looking good again. Too bad they don't offer a turbo.
