Ratchet straps are nice to have. An extra set of brake pads, various fluids, JB weld and epoxies. Extra belts and U-joints. If you have room a spare axle is nice to have and plenty of tools to fix your rig.

A can of dewatering lubricating spray like Lanotec, WD40, CRC, RP7 or similar is a must. I always carry a pair of fencing pliers and some soft fence wire (3.25mm).
In any case - Zip ties, duct tape and electrical wire are good to carry too. There's lots of spares to carry.

First aid kit! Rescue Tape, it's crazy, fixes all sorts. My mate tore a hole in his intercooler pipe, we 'rescue tape'd it and he was good for the 150km home. Spare wheel nuts, spare studs, WD40, pwr st fluid. Also, rather than carry brand new spare hoses, get new ones put on at service and keep the older ones as spare, this way you know they fit properly and easily.

Commenting on an old vid, but just wading through some of these and thought I'd comment...

Some things to add to the list:
1) Gorilla tape clear: You can seal up doors etc. for deep crossings fairly well, and doesn't leave behind glue like duct tape does. Also good for temp repair on broken headlight lense
2) Aluminum tape (metal tape or muffler tape)
3) metal zip ties
4) self tapping screws
5) Universal joints
6) JB Weld (5min)
7) alternator + starter for long trips (expensive, but so is remote tow services)
8) parts kit for hi-lift jack (springs etc)
9) some qty. of all fluids on vehicle + extra water (rad repair kit as well)
10) WD40 or similar
11) Common bolts/nuts for your rig (pull, measure, buy/find) also gives the opportunity to put anti-seize on some of these.
12) CV boot repair kit(s)
13) cir clips (ever lose one as it flies off while trying to put back on?)
14) air filter (water + dust makes most useless)
15) set of wiper blades

Then there are tools, safety, and recovery that you have covered as well on other vids ;-)

Thanks for the efforts Ronny :-)

I work in the trucking industry and from that i've learnt to carry only a few things: spare belts, tensioners/idlers, bearings, top and bottom radiator hoses, intercooler hoses etc. It depends on how much you're willing to spend on spares and how much room you have to store them. Some guys even carry spare engine fans, starter motors and alternators.
Quite often spare coolant and engine/transmission/diff oil would be recommended as well.
The list is endless!

'Vice Grips'

Rapid Quick Fix for brake lines ...
Fold over the broken brake line and clamp it shut and Zip Tie the Vice Grips to the chassis ... Vehicle can be driven CAREFULLY and will now stop hemorrhaging brake fluid ...

First aid. As well as gorilla tape and tubular webbing/tow straps. Gorilla tape is better than duct tape and will fix and hold damn near anything I've came across. Spare nuts and bolts is always great. Large zip ties and a leather man multi tool have all saved me. I used a tow strap to straighten the wheels on a broken tie rod end enough to limp it to a garage in a city. Hard turning and stops but driven over a mile and didn't have to stop. Always stop for a fellow off roader in times of need. He may have gear you do and you might have gear he doesn't
