More than the Navy in Cambodia, the military's airbase too. Even Cambodian not allow to the entrance at that place that they said New International Airport. I have many Cambodian friends, I know that China takes over 2 provinces in Cambodia as them new town. Sihanouk for Navy base and Kaoh Kong for Airbase. Trust me, soon to be Cambodia province, China.

This is no secret, us Vietnamese have known that China has several military bases in Laos and Cambodia for so long. We just have to live with that fact.

India also has a major base there to block the Strait to counter China, along with alliances with Vietnam, and other to form a necklace.

Cambodian capital city Phnom Penh has a huge Chinese cargo port on the Mekong river since 2000s.
And that place was a little terrifying to me.

The next interesting thing is India and Vietnam signed a security pact which will allow to use each others naval bases for military use
