China is building much needed infrastructure in Africa. But at what cost? High price indeed but still much lower cost than Africa has been paying to western powers for a very long time and with little development.

China is biggest trade partner with almost every nation that is willing to trade with China. Not just africa . Trade, built, lend, cooperate, cultural exchange,

For me, i see this as a fair business deal if not for corrupt leaders. Nobody gives you anything without a price. You'll have to negotiate and span vastly to see how good it is on the long run. Politicians in africa just run the countries like mines to get your own share as fast as possible. If this country were to be their companies, they wouldn't run it the same way.

Stopping business with the chinese is not the way forward, but looking totally into these contracts helps for better decisions. So the large part of the blame goes to african countries .

Loans, projects, contracts etc are deals. Even if some seem at first to favor one party over the other. For centuries others just came and took. No money was given.

I prefer China's approach of not handing over cash to these gluttons, we call leaders. So far the project get executed. It's pretty sad how most African public officials demonstrate negligence in handling these loan issues. In their heads, they assume they are poor and as such "paper money" seem too tempting not to steal. While they are sitting on wealth that's there for them for generations if they do right for their people. I think this mindset is the outcome of colonialism and massive mind-programing Afticans have gone through. And add fake foreign religions to that, it become a terrible mix.
