The Patterson Bigfoot Film (Stabilized, Slow and Smooth)

I decided to try my hand at creating a more user friendly version of just the first portion of the famous film...

Gotta love the guy in a monkey suit comments lol like these people must not have actually seen what a monkey suit looks like especially one from the late 60s.
I’m not weighing in on if it’s real or not but that’s not a monkey suit lol if it is it’s the best darn monkey suit ever! Considering the BBC contracted special effects guys a decade ago to create a suit like that and it cost tens of thousands of pounds and looked nowhere near as convincing means Patterson and Gimlin should have gone into Hollywood prop building they would have made millions easy!

Why didn't he stabilize the entire film instead of just the final seconds of it?

Wonderful job! I was wondering if I could find a stabilized Patty film WITH the beginning shots. Very hard to find. What would be AWESOME is if the WHOLE thing was done this way. Not just Patty but when the original first starts. This way, it could be broken down to see if there were OTHER Squatches in the area and could be noticed .

Some make a good point that it would be difficult to make both an authentic suit and mimic realistic walking motions considering when it was shot and lack of specific knowledge relating to Bigfoot respectively.

You can see pretty clearly the creature/actor walks over something on the ground. It is looking down and takes two deliberate steps over an obstacle. What the implication is of that i’m not sure but it’s posture and gait are changing as it moves along

For me, one of most interesting aspects of the Sasquatch question is the outright refusal of most to even entertain the possibility of it existing. It's as though their minds cannot leave something earmarked as "undetermined" or "undecided", so they must draw a binary conclusion of either "real" or "not real". The nature of science is that something is never proven to be certain; yet, in a very unscientific way, so many people have their minds made up about this topic as if it is certain that Sasquatch does not exist. The irony, of course, is that so many amazing scientific discoveries have been made in complete contradiction to common, accepted understandings.

You can tell it’s a person trying to take big long steps. At the end right befor it goes completely blurry he takes a step and has to lean forward because his core can’t stay upright it’s not use to stepping out that far. An animal or human doesn’t struggle in any way while just walking normal. I dunno just my 2 cents. Awesome job on the footage man. 👏👏bravo.

Actually, you have a tiny segment of the footage reverse. And then there is a cut. Then it proceeds to be the bigfoot we all know, but without the other segment.

The creature's ankle is moved further up from where a human ankle should be and it also has massive muscle mass in the legs. This is exactly the design required to support the weight of a being weighing several hundred pounds. The toes also flex at the end of each step. And humans don't raise the back of their leg to a 90-degree horizontal angle and covering that much ground like the gait of this creature. The creature was suit.
