This reminds me of another story where there were literally raids, kidnappings, and possible an interstellar war over humans as we apparently excel at grooming (petting) furred alien species. Clearly not the same 'verse by the MC's early statements, but the human behavior fits. Me likey. Nicely read.

This was very funny and CUTE. I think Tess needs a little more training so she can resist the cute little Fennec. Reminds me of a story where the aliens were flowering plants. The fedation surveyor 'picked' one, decapitation a member of the road family. The plants nuked his planet from orbit.
