Here’s how to see puffins up close in Iceland 🥹🐧

First of all, it’s important to know that the best time to see puffins in Iceland is between April-July, although we just saw them in August.

📍 Westman Islands, Dyrhólaey ❌
📍Dyrhólaey View Parking Lot and WC ✅

If you just type in ‘Dyrhólaey’, your GPS will likely take you to the top parking lot (that although has a spectacular view of the arch, don’t expect to see any puffins here). This is where EVERYONE goes and it is incredibly hard to find parking during peak hours. Only a few minutes away however is a second parking lot that takes you right next to the puffins, saving you a 20+ minute walk!
