The best way to remove contact lenses is to make sure you have clean and dry hands. This allows for your finger to grip the contacts and pull it away from the surface of the eye.

You never really touch the eye directly so if you find yourself doing that, you are doing it wrong. .

Yeah, I got my soft color lenses like a week ago. My first day was horrific. To start with that I was struggling with putting them on for 30 minutes not less. My hands were actually shaking. I went to school with them and I got lots of compliments that day. I was so happy about that, I swear. Until bed time came. I was literally about to cry, I was home alone. My sister told me what to do, but I just couldn't do it. I was staring at the mirror for like 2 hours, thinking what to do. I was tired and literally ready to sleep with the contacts in my eyes. But I found that video and I got them out. Then I was considering, if I'm about to wear them in future. But they are too good to be wasted. I'm back here to thank you! This video is actually my lesson for life. I feel like a professional now.

Claustrophobia with contacts stuck in equals a panic attack! Spent what felt like 20 minutes at home on my first night trying to get them out on my own then decided to check for a vid on YouTube. Thank you so much for this video!! I somehow managed to get my contacts out at the doctor’s office (it was a struggle) and was able to put them back in and wear them home. Later I could not take them out for the life of me. This was the only method that worked. Swiping down or popping them out by pushing my lids together did not work for me. I watched your video like 5 times yesterday and finally got them off lol. You seriously saved my life because my roommate is out of town and I was all alone haha. For anyone struggling I would say remember to breathe and really relax/focus. Panicking won’t help because you just freak out and start sweating. Just clean and dry your hands and look directly into the mirror and grab like in this video. I’ll also say actually use some pressure to grip it on the finger tips so you can feel it. Before I was just swiping with no actual pressure/grip so it was just sliding away. It took me less than 5 Min today vs the 30 Min yesterday. Again, you’re a life saver. Thank you!

Gosh you make it look and sound so easy! I just went in for contact lens fitting and training for my first time ever and after 45 minutes or so I could not get either one of the lenses off! I did get one-off but it was more of a fluke than anything. Then when I put it back in I could not get it off! I sure hope I can figure it out or else I'm going to have to give up on this contact lens idea altogether. Thanks for posting this though I'm going to give it a shot.
