That depends on the type of turtle you're keeping and what the local temperatures of your setup. If the tank isn't reaching the temperatures you need, then you'll probably need a heater.

Hi there. It all depends on what temperatures you are getting. If the appropriate temperatures for your turtle aren't being met with the Turtle Tuff and 5.0, then additional heating might be needed.

To people who bought this tank I recommend getting a bigger tank when your turtle gets bigger or use the 40 gallon kit then you can get another zoo med tank since turtle like to swim alot
