I think eventually Cavil will return to this role. He supposedly loved doing the role and knows there's so many great Superman stories to be told including Kingdom Come. Also, he is probably the most accepted and praised actor to play the role since Chris Reeve. Maybe Snyder can produce a separate series outside of Gunn's with Henry Cavil co producing and having alot of creative input. Either way it has to be brighter in tone then before and most of all in these dark times inspirational!

I can understand at times why they might reboot a series of movies but with the addition to both the marvel and DC universes of the multiverse why can't they continue to release movies on a current storyline while also beginning a new one with the understanding that it's from a different universe or timeline? Give fans the sequel they want from Cavill while at the same time beginning a new reboot with the planned younger version they want to do? This would allow them to keep alive the current universe with another Wonder Woman movie if they wish as well as the planned Flash and possibly Aquaman and still go the new route they are proposing and maybe even a crossover between the two universes of that worked out in the storyline. Having two timelines or universes at the same time and possibly a crossover between the 2 would set them apart from Marvell and maybe finally give the DCEU a win with more than just the occasional standalone good movie in the franchise and really let them build on something.

I like how the BvS shot shows superman facing a corrupted Batman very symbolic for Batfleck as he lost his way leading up to that event(hence the killing and such). His character had clearly gone through so much over 20 years that meeting and that whole conflict with Superman changed him set him back on the right path and with his sacrifice gave him hope again making things right in ZSJL. People are blinded if they Think Cavills Superman isn't hopeful.

This is great!! I've been around long enough to see every iteration of superman since Christopher Reeves. I was amazed at how well Henry Cavill fit the bill to play superman.
This little promo for a MOS 2 finally shows what makes superman, superman. The writers in the previous films, which I own by the way, were always portraying him in this dark and constant emotional turmoil. Things finally started to look up for him towards the end of Justice League.
This, however, shows a glimpse of what superman is really like and how he truly thinks. Superman has always looked up to the sun, not down in the gutter. Jor El said it best in MOS.
