I liked Cavill as Superman, but moving on to a different actor was the right decision. A clean break was the right call. There is no need to muddy the waters and confuse the audience

And they picked a great candidate! David Corenswet looks like Cavill, he’s taller, he’s younger (more longevity for the universe), and he’s a fantastic actor

Henry cavill was never really fired.They just decided to go in another direction and they didn't need him He wasn't hired from multiple movies in the first place. He did one cameo, and that's it

I liked a lot of the Snyderverse, tho it was uneven, but I thought the biggest problem was how the upper management kept stopping and starting, yanking their support here and there and disrupting projects that were already underway - Batgirl was the worst example - so by now I do appreciate the idea of James Gunn simply turning the page and starting fresh, and I hope he's given a fair shot at this without interference, so we can properly judge what he's trying to do

I'm glad to see a Superman movie that finally acknowledges the existence of other DC super heroes... I really wanted to see how Justice League 2 turned out as an 80s kid who grew up watching Superfriends every day after school.... but I;ll give the Gunn verse a chance too

I mean when the ball completely came into his court he still could’ve brought Henry back and the og cast and capitalized on what worked well in the DCEU but rebooting everything has great potential to work out in the long run but comes at great cost if it fails.

I love henry cavils Superman, but at this point, it's time to move on since we dont have much of a voice. I really hope this new Superman is next level with the fight scenes and story.

In my opinion, Warner is and remains responsible for this. They managed the DCEU sloppily and then ended it. Not even Steven Spielberg could have done anything about it.😒

Instead of blaming James Gunn for running the things the way he wants to run them (because he was given the job to run DC), those people should blame The Rock and his production company for making promises that they couldn't back up, and blame those WB executives for green-lighting that cameo that they knew wasn't likely going to lead anywhere. Gunn isn't obligated to stick with someone else's vision for DC if he doesn't share that vision. Henry Cavill is not his Superman. Period.

henry cavill 20 million talent fee can cover the entire new superman cast and crew talent fee, it's all about business, superman movie alone is a huge movie, the superman carries the actor not the otherway around, besides henry is not american and he doesn't have deep connection in hollywood

The restart was necessary, unfortunately, and Cavill was an unfortunate victim of it. Plus the arrogance of Duane Johnson in thinking that Black Adam was somehow going to save the DCEU when he didn't even want to associate the character with Shazam didn't help either.
