They have been operating in ukraine the first 2 weeks of the conflict and were responsible of destroying the over 350 S300 air defense system that ukraine had but no one asked what happened to them. In sept 2022 Russian Su-57 Gets Longest Ranged Fighter Shootdown In History Against Ukrainian Su-27 from a 217 km using a long-range R37 missile, they dont need to get that close to shoot stuff.

Just thought I'd mention, the US has around 900 F-35s. Over 1500 fighter aircraft if you count F-22s, F-16s, etc.
