Death Knight opens with an array of lightning attacks then flashsteps into my face and pastes me against the fog wall.

Well, they were aptly named.

The twin axe version is legitimately one of the best fights in the entire game. It may not be the hardest fight to learn, but it's perfect mechanically.

At first, when I saw the moveset of this boss, I thought Miyazaki was crazy, then I remembered that Rellana exists. I finally beat the Death Knight on the 9th try using Dryleaf's Art, I've never made poise breaks so easily. For now, the Death Knight is my favorite boss along with the Divine Beast

I wish Godwyn could have been the final boss, in the base game Miquella was trying to revive his soul and the DLC also coincidentally happens to have him revive another demigod... except the one he revives never had anything implying a connection with Miquella ever before.

These guys are SO MUCH FUN to fight. The theme makes you feel like you're fighting something mythical yet sinister, something dark hiding in the shadows as it looks back at you with a bony smile ready to literally suck the life out of you.
