I Found a Lump In My Left Breast #shorts #mammogram

I finished breastfeeding over 3 years ago and I keep getting mastitis. I can’t wear a bra for more than a couple hours or it starts to hurt and I know a infection will be coming 🤦‍♀️😭

18 months ago my mammogram and ultrasound were clear, but it’s always a little nerve-racking. 🙏🤞

My doctor gave the option of surgery last time, but the ultrasound tech suggested looking into infectious disease specialist.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions? 🙏🙏💞💞

I should have the results in a week. In the meantime we are off for some family time in Mexico ☀️

Ps. Remember to check your breasts ❤️

Yes, I did go through this. Most lumps are benign and if mastitis is also in the mix, it seems likely that it will be benign! But all lumps need to be checked and I’m so glad you’re promoting doing the right thing here, getting that mammogram and ultrasound! It’s very brave of you to share and raise awareness and I thank you for that!!
Mine was not benign, but I am so grateful for medical advances and new drugs that became available in the last decades! I am in treatment and trust that my amazing medical team will get me out of this!
I’m keeping all my fingers crossed for benign!!!

Yes ma'am I have been through this before with my left breast during my annual exam my gynecologist found a large mass in my left breast and sent me to a breast surgeon for follow-up after getting my mammogram and ultrasound done that unfortunately missed the mass on both tests which was a scary thing for me bc idk how to properly do a self breast check myself and if both tests missed it smdh and when I asked why didn't it show up on either one of them I was told bc my breast tissue is very dense and I'm very petite with very small breast also but thankfully after having a lumpectomy done it was found that the mass benign thank God bc I am a high risk for cancer as well as a long family history of cancer and the recovery process was very painful for me unfortunately but I'm still thankful and grateful for my gynecologist and God for blessing me to NOT have cancer at all and was advised to have to mammogram done every 6 months as a precaution after that 🙏 🙏 🙏 God got us my sister ❤❤❤❤❤

Been there without the mastitis. Due for another mammogram and not looking forward to it. The fear that comes is very challenging. You’re such a badass and inspiration to us all! Thank you for sharing and normalizing this often very scary and lonely thing us women go thru. Sending my love and support!

I very recently went through a breast scare. I don’t think I’m done yet but it gave me a fresh perspective. I don’t encourage going down the ‘deep hole’ but did so just as much as needed for myself. On my way to my ultrasound, I told myself, “if it’s bad then I choose to clean up my diet and home to ‘squeaky’ clean and plan on going a wholistic route”. But I also started thinking about if it wasn’t bad. Did that mean I could keep doing what I was doing? Wouldn’t I just have a possibility of another scare? I chose right then to behave like I was fighting for my life. Fighting for my health and future. I had already made big changes in my life many years ago but let some things slide. At least if there is something going on more serious than a rash (my symptom) I am helping my body heal and balance as God made us to do. I choose to take it as a wake up call and to do my best not to live in anxiety. Sorry for the long ramble…I just wanted to share that there is someone else that is going through this as well. Hang in there and cling to Jesus Christ.

I literally just had this happen. They only did an ultrasound, no mammogram. They concluded for me it was only fatty tissue. I hope you receive positive news as well💕 You will be in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏

My wife had a check today, they are sending her for a scan as they feel that there is definitely something in the breast. I pray to God that it will be all good in the end! 🙏🏼 Support to all of you going through it!

The waiting is always the hardest part. Take it slow and steady, be kind to yourself and take one step at a time. Although it's totally natural for your mind to want to look far ahead, bring your gaze down to your feet and just focus on taking one step at a time. All the love from the UK. 🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️

I went in for a routine but over due mammogram, which turned into a call back. Went in with no worries because I had it happen with my 1st one. Then, at my 2nd one they also did an ultrasound, which again I wasn't worried because that also happened my 1st time. Except this time they brought a TV screen afterwards and put me on a zoom call with the reading doctor who wanted 2 biopsies done. One in my breast, one in a lymph node. Still figured it'd be nothing. Then received a phone call that changed my current life. Breast biopsy was negative, but the lymph node came back positive for breast cancer. And now over a year later after some hard chemo, double mastectomy and several lymph nodes removed. Currently receiving radiation, with painful burns and still receiving targeted therapy. I feel your anxiety loud and clear. Even if you get answers you aren't hoping for, it's better to find out as early as possible and be strong.

Good job staying on top of it! The period of uncertainty before you have answers is so hard... I had a problem lump years ago and they had to biopsy. It turned out well and now they just monitor closely! Sending you good vibes and all the positive energy you put out right back to you! ❤️

Yup. When my dr at the time felt it he looked at me and said “wow that is big” then had a nurse feel too (with my permission). Had an ultrasound and got diagnosed with cystic breast tissue.

I found a lump on my right breast last August, doctors made an appointment for both mammogram and ultrasound within a few days. It happened to be a cyst, which was treated the same day. That was a huge relief for me and my doctor. I hope all goes well for you 🙏💜

Mastitis can happen at any time if you have ever lactated! I had it during pregnancy with my first - I was leaking colostrum from 10 weeks with him.

How are you now? I’m looking for your update video..hope all is well. Your videos helped me so much through my first pregnancy. Now 6 months postpartum I’ve had a clogged duct for the last two months. Had mammo (so painful!)and ultrasound and not cancer but had a biopsy (also painful!) yesterday. Just curious what your course of action was..I’m not on social media so I’m feeling cut off from lady groups where I might hear stories and get support. Hoping you’re in the clear and feeling good. ❤
