Shein & Romwe Stole My Art Again...AND AGAIN

After looking into lawyer fees and the copyrights & trademarks that I would have to file, I'm unfortunately unable to afford them as 1 individual running everything so if anyone has any ideas on where I can go from here I’d greatly appreciate it ❤️

my advice legal wise (im not a lawyer) is either talk to other ppl who've had their designs stolen and try to file as a group or like make a fundraiser for legal fees because lets be real, SHEIN isn't going to stop if they don't face consequences. They've stolen from big brands too like ANGELIC PRETTY AD BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT! Like they do NOT care.

Yeah, I think your plan of action was correct: let as many people know not to shop or support SHEIN in any way, and help spread the word about viable small business alternatives to fast fashion. It might just be a drop in the ocean to the humongous monster that is the fast fashion industry, but the change can be felt with the small business owners and artists, and I think that is worth it.

My husband is an artist that has had his designs stolen also. Not by huge companies like yours were, but his designs were stolen and sold around the world through smaller companies. It took him months to have the designs removed from so many sites. One design was stolen by a tattoo artist and marketed as their own design. It became a permanent part of someone’s body. 😮 There needs to be better laws to help artists, especially now with so much AI.

They say stealing is a compliment but considering the frequency at which it happens and their size compared to who they steal from, it's straight up abuse. The fact that people still throw so much money at them is worrying. It's not like they don't know about this!

I refuse to buy from Shein, Temu, or any similar company. I won’t bend on this! I actually think it’s gross that they can list their HQ in the US. It’s deliberately misleading.
But without a doubt income inequality is unreal! It’s tough enough to live here, can’t imagine making basically pennie’s to live.
Also, THANK YOU!!!! I’m very much someone who loves alt fashion but I’m plus size and half the clothes made for us is made deliberately to be like 90s 50 yr olds clothes or kinda lame.
I just default and shop almost exclusively at torrid 😞
I don’t hate their clothes, but most of it isn’t my thing.

1:17 OMG thank you sooo much for mentioning Holley Teatime I saw this beautiful dress on Romwe/Shein and thought "that's a beautiful dress...it looks similar to the one I saw on Holley Teatime"...Until I searched it up the designs look SO ACCURATE!!!
In the UK currency it sells the dress at a cheaper price....A TOTAL RIP OFF!!

I am a preteen that loves your videos and i first discovered shein by curiosity. When i realized that shein supports exploitation, child labour and stealing designs i just realized i should just stick to uni-clo and other clothing shops.

As a person who buys from shein and specifically from Romwe. I am disappointed, I would never thought that they stole desings, I thought at first that they are getting inspired with permission or they give smth like merch. Thank you for spreading this, we need shein to stop stealing others desings, it just suck! I hope your desings will be deleted from their site

I used to be into art when I was younger. I wanted to keep my own, original Intellectual Properties protected but could have never afforded the fees to legally copyright them. I had a friend who was a fellow artist. They informed me I should make copies of designs I wanted to keep in my working portfolio but to seal the originals and mail them to myself. A sealed, officially postmarked manilla envelope would qualify as a legal document for IP. I dunno if this is still applicable under current law. Might be worth looking into. Wish you the best 🤓👍

I have heard the "find out where your stuff comes from", " big business stealing, small business struggle" stuff for years. It never fully set in until today. I suppose I just needed to hear it from a girl with decora and nice voice!
