Saudi Arabia hosts global alliance meeting to push for Palestinian State amid Israel-Hamas conflict

Saudi Arabia hosted the first session of meeting on Wednesday to seek solutions to establish a Palestinian state amid the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Saudi Foreign Minister reiterated Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

This high-level gathering, titled “The Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution”, brought together nearly 90 nations and international organizations.

Speaking at the high-level meeting, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages and support for the humanitarian efforts.

UNRWA Commissioner-General further reiterated “internationally agreed framework” of the two-state solution.

In September, Saudi Arabia announced the launch of the global alliance to implement the two-state solution on behalf of Arab and Islamic states and European partners. The meeting in Riyadh serves as the first in a series, with future gatherings planned for Brussels, Cairo, Amman, Oslo, and Ankara.
