I wish that I could share you God's testimony. I went from being addicted to celebrities like One Direction to surrending to Christ! God changed my whole life. My diet, the music, movies/TV shows, my communications, my social life, my outfits, all has changed. And I'm free by God's grace! I volunteer for a Christian based organization and this morning an employee pulled this book out and read from it to the other employees. I was so disheartened. They all loved it. Even the employee who's husband is a pastor! I prayed silently for their discernment. The word of God is complete.

I am so glad you talked about this! This book is so popular and I never liked how she speaks from the perspective of God. Just quote the Bible. If you want to add your own words make sure you let it be known that they are your own thoughts. Don’t speak from the perspective of the Lord

This book was given to me as a gift. I later threw it away when I realized it was not Biblical. Praise God!

This was a tough one for me to accept. I gave plenty of these out as gifts. I used to read this book and the Daily Bread as a very baby Christian. I would read them and then go to the Bible and read the passages that were noted at the bottom. It helped me to read a lot of the Bible. I now realize that the subtleties and how it is written are very heretical. I have since repented and am learning how to read the Bible in it's proper context. This book has made me start my day with the Lord and His Word every day for over 10 years. I use it as a way to start my thinking as to how the Scripture can relate in my life and give me a focus for the day.

My mom bought that book and I was like what are you doing?! That book is full of heresy! And she was like oh really? I didn’t know. It’s a very sneaky book that hides itself as a helpful tool to grow your faith. Good video Colin. It’s important to call out stuff like this.

I’m watching this a year later. Sarah Young passed away a month ago from cancer. I was given her devotional book, twice by two different people. The first time, I read through it at least twice, but haven’t touched it in a couple years. The last time was a few months ago and I haven’t even tried to read it. I felt “off” about it.. then I came across a video about her in my newsfeed (not this one) and it opened my eyes to the truth about her book.. after further research from videos and articles, I decided to share the info with my mom, who’s professed a profound faith in Christ for most of her life… she rejected what I shared with her… which I think is unfortunate… she is convinced that everything about that book is justifiable by scripture, even when actual scripture was used to “correct” the fallacies of that book… truthfully I am not terribly surprised by my mothers reaction, because my entire life, my mom has chased eccentric “supernatural” experiences with the Lord. Not that they don’t happen, but she’s also chasing after some spiritual high… which has lead her to trusting many false teachers and false literature… I’ve been praying for her heart to be open so that she’s no longer deceived by the grandiose promises of progressive Christianity.

Thank you for addressing this book, I had it and read it. Don’t recall how it was introduced to me but burned it and had to ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness. And for many other books that were gifts TD Jakes, Beth Moore and many many more. Lord help us🙏🏻🙏🏻

Wow! Thank you for shedding light on this book. I used it innocently to enhance my devotion time in the morning with Jesus and to build my habit of reading the Bible first thing. I did notice how some verses didn’t really go with her passages. I’m just grateful for God’s grace. I am aware so now the book is going into the trash.
