Researchers at the Francis Crick Institute looked at lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, to understand why some patients respond better to immunotherapy than others.

They found viral genes passed down by our ancestors can be "woken up" when a person has cancer to join the fight against the tumour.

This is interesting I just lost my Dad to chronic-leukemia... I his final day the doctors where detecting evidence of a massive infection but were unable to ID the infection. When we asked them if this could be the chronic-leukemia getting more aggressive they found that to be spot on the cause...

I’m confused. I thought that cancer was an over reaction of our immune system so would be interested to understand more of what this new research means.

THC in marijuana helps to stop cancer from spreading, and it is amazing how health experts refuse to look at that, as part treatment for patients ❤️👍
